​Farmers Against Hunger is looking for a box truck driver to pick up and deliver donated produce to hunger relief organizations across New Jersey. They will also work at gleaning events (farm harvests) with the Gleaning Coordinator and volunteers. The farming season runs from June—December. Immediate start.
​
Duties for this position include:
  • Driving throughout the state of New Jersey
  • Loading/unloading pallets (up to 1,200 lbs) off of a lift gate
  • Use of an electric pallet jack (we can train)
  • Flexibility with scheduling. There are set routes, but farms frequently call with additional pick-ups throughout the week 

The ideal candidate will enjoy interaction with our farmers, volunteers, and hunger relief agencies. He or she will also be very reliable. We rely heavily on constant communication (texting, emails and/or calls) and frequent use of online maps and GPS. Agricultural experience a plus. Box truck driving experience required.

Job Type: Part-time, Seasonal
Salary: $15.00/hour
