Join us as Lou shares her expertise as a beekeeper. Some of the topics she will speak on include:
You will have an opportunity to view models highlighting the points listed above, as well as view an active hive located on the property*.
After learning about the hive and how you can become a beekeeper and a good neighbor to bees and pollinators, join us for a guided cheese and Moorestown Honeywork honey pairing. Learn about seasonal honey and how it changes based on what is growing and what pollen the bees are harvesting throughout different times of the year.
Participants will go home with a seed packet sampling of native wildflowers and milkweed in order to start their own pollinator support garden.
$30 suggested donation per person. Please Bring Cash or Check for $30 to 173 Creek Rd. Delran, NJ. Checks are made payable to New Jersey Agricultural Society.
This event will be held outdoors so please wear comfortable clothing and footwear. (Please no cologne or perfume around the hive.)
