Three days of learning, presenting, and dining at the New Jersey Agricultural Convention at Harrah’s in Atlantic City.
FarmVoice Studios was showcased at the NJAS booth on the convention floor. We had plenty of interest and positive feedback from many who stopped by and learned about our mission to educate and inform the non-farm public on the value and importance of agriculture in New Jersey. Additionally, our work was featured during the Department of Agriculture’s session. The NJ Ag in the Classroom series featured Cutts Brothers Cranberry Harvest, Middlebush Dairy Farm, & Ashley Farms (Turkey & Vegetables). These videos were part of a collaboration between NJ Ag in the Classroom & NJ Agricultural Society. All to help educate students on agriculture in the Garden State.
NJ Ag Society Luncheon. With over 230 in attendance and hosted by Board President Joni Elliott, the NJAS luncheon on Wednesday showcased all that we are doing at NJAS as well as recognized those who are leading us forward during these critical times.
The NJ Agricultural Society Leadership Development Program presented to NJAS Board Members and NJALDP Alumni helping to build their presentation skills and showcase where they would like to go in 2025 for their international trip. Four teams made arguments for Costa Rica, Spain, Portugal, & the Netherlands. A decision is imminent!
Led by Joel Verichek, Vegetable Growers Association, Joe Atchison, Department of Agriculture, Holly Sytsema, NJ Board of Ag and many others, the NJ Agriculture Convention was informative, entertaining, and provided an opportunity for all of us to come together as a community.
